In this video tutorial two-parter, you'll see how to dissect the female reproductive tract of a mature laying hen for an anatomical look.

To make it easy, find a bird that has evidence of past production. You can easily see the entrance to the ovary in the oviduct (the vagina) in the external anatomy of the chicken.

Place the poultry on her back and open her up quickly and get ready to dissect out the reproductive tract of the bird. This is a great educational video for a veterinarian in training. All that you need is a female chicken (hen).
